London Inferno on Markosia

Coming soon from Markosia is my crime graphic novel London Inferno, written by LF Bollée (Apocalypse ManiaTerra AustralisL'Ultime Chimere). 80 pages, black & white, originally published in France in 2003 by EP Editions. I translated it into English a few years ago, and added a lot of London street slang along the way ('Guv!').

Two London coppers, John Cope and Mark Hollis, face many dangerous cases together. But Cope is in love with Valerie, Hollis’s wife.
One night, Hollis throws a party. John and Valerie manage to be together during the evening, but Cope leaves… and a terrible crime is committed. Betrayal, intrigue, and a violent quest for the truth: London Inferno is Sin City meets Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and it won’t put you down until the end.
Some reviews:
LA TRIBUNE
“LF BOLLÉE HAS CONSTRUCTED A VERY EXCITING PLOT WITH MULTIPLE TWISTS... THE INK ILLUSTRATIONS OF ROGER MASON PROPEL THE READER THROUGH AN HALUCINATORY THEATRE OF SHADOWS AND LIGHTS.”

BDNEWS.NET
“MASON HAS A LOT OF TALENT AND IS A VIRTUOUSO IN BLACK AND WHITE... [LONDON INFERNO] HAS ENOUGH TWISTS TO SPUR THE READER ON RIGHT UNTIL THE END.”

BD COOL.COM
“ELEGANT AND DYNAMIC BRUSHWORK... THE SOBRIETY OF THE DRAWING ADDS UNEASINESS TO THIS GLOOMY AND HOSTILE WORLD.”

Special thanks to Angela and Ross of Red Spark, Auckland, for the punchy logo design.
